Acceptable Formats
Press-ready PDF is our preferred format; other formats we accept include:-
- Adobe PDF
- QuarkXpress (up to v.7.31)
- Adobe Indesign (up to v.CS3 5.0.3)
- EPS (please turn fonts to outline)
- AI (please turn fonts to outline)
- JPEG (min. 300dpi at 100%)
- TIFF (min. 300dpi at 100%)
We will be happy to assess Microsoft Office software files but unexpected results can occur and will require further work on our part, post PDF creation – please speak to our sales team for further clarification.
Press-ready PDF is our preferred format.
Please Remember
Add 3mm bleed and crop marks and include cutting tools, spot seals, spot laminates and numbering and/or perforation positions where necessary – we will impose your files.
Please check that the separate elements of your job correspond to the desired output. For instance, if we will be printing in four colour process (CMYK), ensure all spot colours and images have been converted to CMYK. Conversely, that CMYK elements are turned to spot colour if we are to print spot (Pantone/PMS) colour(s). Check the size of your document to ensure it has been created at the correct size.
QuarkXpress: Please do a “Collect for Output” procedure from QuarkXpress, include all images and fonts and send to us with the native Quark file.
InDesign: Please do a “Package” procedure from InDesign, include all images and fonts and send to us with the native InDesign file.
File Transfer
Files below 20Mb can be emailed; for larger files, please use our HTTP facility.
We can also accept files on regular CD, DVD or USB memory sticks.
A supplied hard-copy of the artwork is always useful to check for any file transfer errors.
